ViconNet 4.0 Overview

ViconNet 4.0 brings the power of digital video management to a whole new level. Offering solutions for IP, DVR and hybrid systems, ViconNet 4.0 offers the ability to integrate a wide range of cameras and domes, monitors, servers, storage devices and industry-leading software into a cohesive, robust and expandable platform capable of meeting the most challenging surveillance needs.
 
Vicon’s extensive mixture of cameras and video servers comprise one of the most diverse IP video lines available. IP cameras may connect directly to the ViconNet system, or Vicon’s cost-effective, high-density servers may be used to integrate video from analog cameras into the network. New, with version 4.0, is the Virtual Matrix Controller, which allows the display of video from any camera on any monitor, supporting multi-monitor wall displays typical of large-scale installations. Also new is a video analytics module for ViconNet 4.0, which can monitor thousands of cameras in real-time, searching for suspicious activity and bringing a whole new level of efficiency to the monitoring process.
 
Other new features in ViconNet 4.0 include:
Logical Camera Groups:
Assemble groups of cameras from any device for easy location and camera call-up, even if they are attached to different DVRs or other devices. Make one grouping of all entrances and exits, another of all roof cameras, etc…
 
Alarm Alerts via Email or Text:
ViconNet 4.0 offers new and improved alarm reports, including email and text messaging. Enjoy the freedom of leaving your facility worry-free, knowing you’ll be alerted anytime, anywhere, if trouble arises.
 
Flexible Frame-Per-Second Settings:
ViconNet 4.0 allows you to view live feed at one FPS rate and record at another, saving on storage space. You can also set expiration limits, purging video archives automatically at any timed interval.
