Building on the exceptional success of the Surveyor range of camera domes,
Vicon’s Surveyor4 dome system is gaining widespread endorsement as a
compact indoor in-ceiling domed housing.
The unit incorporates a fixed camera/lens combination. Users can specify a
high-resolution monochrome or colour camera and a choice of manual or
auto-iris varifocal lens. A 4-inch smoked lower dome is included.
The cameras accept 12 VDC input and come with an appropriate power supply. Installation is facilitated with the supplied electrical junction box and the camera position can be adjusted in four directions.
This allows for adjustment of pan, tilt, vertical height in the dome and rotation about the lens axis (roll), for any angle of view required. The lens iris and focus can also be modified and there is a choice between a wide or telephoto angle of view.
The Surveyor4 camera dome series meets FCC requirements for a Class A device. It also complies with European Community EMC Directive 89/336. The unit has a total diameter of 6.25 inches (159 mm) and it weighs 2.25 lb (1.02 kg.)
