VICON AT OXFORD

Vicon Industries have recently supplied their Nova V1422 control and switching system to the Said Business School in Oxford. The installation also includes
use of the company’s Vistar pan & tilts and Surveyor dome cameras.

The Said Business School, formerly the Oxford centre for Management Studies, is a world leader in the field of executive business education. It has recently become a fully-fledged School of Management Studies within Oxford University and the school now offers undergraduate degree programmes in economics and management.

Vicon’s Nova V1422 is a self-contained CPU-based unit which allows for up to 32 camera inputs and 8 monitor outputs. The product is shipped with ProTech Graphic Configurator Software and an additional RS-232 port provides an output to a printer for printing alarm incident records.

ADT Hemel Hempstead have also installed Vicon’s Vistar 35 pan & tilts at the Said Business School. These have a maximum load of 16kg. The units are designed for 24 VAC, offering immediate compatibility with the EU low voltage directive. They feature 60/sec pan and 30/sec tilt. A model offering continuous rotation and pre-set positions option is available if required.

The Said School offered its first MBA programme in 1996, immediately attracting an outstanding group of international students. The current class of 97 MBA students comes from 29 countries, with no one country dominating.
The School has many close links with Oxford University and there is exchange of students and teaching staff with Templeton College, a specialised graduate management college, offering executive courses.
