Hauppauge, NY December 20, 2006:  Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of video surveillance systems, today announced the appointment of Huy Q. Lai as Vicon’s new Sales Engineer for the West Zone. Huy will provide field support for large systems – either commissioning or problem resolution.  He also will be providing field training and pre-sales support.

 Huy has 7 years of sales engineering experience with such companies as Panasonic and Momentum Systems. During that time, he worked with key vendors to provide customers with custom solutions in wireless networking, video software, and semiconductors. Prior to that, he was a network systems engineer for 5 years with Nortel Networks in Japan where he developed switching software for NTT's analog and digital telephone services.

 He is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. “Huy is a valuable addition to the Vicon team,” states Bret McGowan, Vice President of US Sales and Marketing at Vicon. “His experience in supporting and working with wireless networking and video software adds even more breadth to our team’s client support initiatives and dedication to customer satisfaction.”
