Hauppauge, NY, March 28, 2005....Vicon Industries Inc., a world leader in digital and IP video solutions, today announced the development of an integration program between Vicon’s digital and IP video management platform, ViconNet, and the Velocity™ Access Security System by Hirsch Electronics™.

“The integration effort will create a high-level of interoperability between the ViconNet video system and the Velocity Access System,” said Bret McGowan, V.P. of Marketing for Vicon.

In addition to the integration development, Vicon and Hirsch have singed an NDA and agreed to a strategic partnership that will support co-marketing and selling efforts of both systems. This partnership will help improve customer expectations between the different systems and help position Vicon and Hirsch as leaders in integrated systems. “We are excited to achieve interoperability between the Hirsch Access Control System and the Vicon Digital Video Systems using XML. This puts both companies on the leading edge of delivering open architecture solutions.”

Vicon announced that the company will kick off this partnership during the ISC West Security Expo at their booth (# 20011).
