Vicon Completes Renovation Of Training Facility

Hauppauge, NY, February 6, 2007: Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of digital and IP video surveillance systems, is pleased to announce the completed renovation of the Robert R. Howe Memorial Training Room and Showroom located within Vicon Corporate Headquarters. The room is site of frequent customer and dealer training courses and product demonstrations held throughout the year.

All equipment in the room has been updated to best showcase ViconNet 4.0 and its Virtual Matrix Controller – to be released later this year. Two 50” plasma screens and four 19” LCD monitors, working in conjunction with soon-to-be-released KRX-3 Video Decoders, allow for demonstrations of the Virtual Matrix Controller’s ability to simulate the functionality of a true, crosspoint matrix switching system. Twenty fully-functional workstations connected to an active ViconNet system allow visitors to participate in hands-on training, learning to operate and control all connected components.
The room’s lighting has been upgraded to be more comfortable and highlight products. Built-in shelving and cabinetry provide ample space to display active and static product. An updated PA system and new carpeting complete the renovation.

“Our free ViconNet training courses are extremely popular and with our new training room now complete, we are well prepared to showcase the next generation of ViconNet software and products in our classes, “ explains Kenny Rohan, Director of Customer Service. “This is another example of Vicon’s ongoing commitment to providing top-level customer support.”

Registration forms to attend future ViconNet training courses may be found on the Vicon website: www.vicon-cctv.com.
