Vicon Expands Its RoughneckTM V910 Line of
Impact-Resistant Camera Domes

Hauppauge, NY, January 15, 2008 – Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of digital and IP video surveillance systems, announced today the addition of several new models within its Roughneck V910 line of impact-resistant camera domes. Three new IP models offer power-over-ethernet (PoE), including one model featuring wide dynamic range (WDR). A new analog model also offers wide dynamic range, providing the best possible image in highly contrasting light conditions.

The new IP domes with PoE can be powered through the Ethernet in many applications, eliminating the need for a separate power supply.  They are available with either an integral high-resolution color camera, day/night camera or a WDR camera featuring state-of-the-art Pixim® digital pixel processing. All feature a 3.3-12 mm varifocal lens.

The analog version of the V910 is also now, for the first time, available in a WDR version. Equipped with a 3.3-12 mm lens, the camera accepts 24 VAC and includes an isolated power input.

The Roughneck V910 line offers high-security cameras in a compact domed housing for use in both indoor and outdoor applications. The V910 is designed to mount directly to a wall or ceiling; pendant and in-ceiling mounting options are available. The camera position can be adjusted horizontally and vertically for any desired view. The varifocal lens allows for lens adjustment capability and autoiris adjustment is available. Tamper-resistant screws make it resistant to vandalism. These camera packages are designed to handle the toughest environments, including correctional facilities, warehouses and loading docks. All models are compatible with ViconNet versions 3 or 4 digital video management software.
