Hauppauge, NY January 15, 2007 Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of video surveillance systems, today announced that Cherokee Nation Enterprises (CNE), the retail, gaming, entertainment and hospitality segment of Cherokee Nation, has selected Vicon products for video surveillance for two of their newest casinos. CNE operates casinos in Catoosa, Roland, West Siloam Springs, Fort Gibson, Sallisaw and Tahlequah, as well as convenience stores, retail tobacco shops, gift shops and two golf courses. The company also owns and operates Will Rogers Downs, a 236-acre horse racetrack just east of Claremore. CNE employs 2,860 people throughout northeastern Oklahoma.
CNE recently completed construction of a brand new casino in Tahlequah adjacent to the old casino. The new facility is more than triple the size of the old one and provides 20,000 square feet of gaming space and a restaurant. For video surveillance needs, casino management chose to install a system consisting of Vicon camera domes and cameras, Kollectors DVRs and Workstations. The system is operated and managed by ViconNet 3.0 software, which allows for control and interoperability of all components from anywhere within the network.
CNE has also built a brand new casino in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. With 22,000 square feet of casino to monitor, plus an onsite restaurant, the Sallisaw facility employs a full host of Vicon equipment including camera domes and cameras, Kollector DVRs and the NOVA 1500 Video Matrix Control System.
